TAMPA, FL (May 4, 2005)  From April 7th through the 9th, several ASME student members attended the annual Regional Student Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.  During the three day event, students from over twenty institutions and five states competed in oral presentations, poster display and website design contests and a robotic design competition.  Our school's projects ranged from lectures on the design and construction of a jet-powered hovercraft to a mechanized-device to assist a paralyzed beachcomber to renewable energy's future in third world countries.  USF was awarded over $700 in recognition and numerous honors (See slide show).
