Book Exchange Facebook Group for USF College of Engineering

A FaceBook group for book exchange has been opened for University of South Florida College of Engineering students. Students can post the list of used textbooks they are trying to sell, buy or exchange.

All you have to do is to post the list of books on the wall, and if selling, post how much you are asking for them. The idea is to price the books so that they are less than they are being sold as “used” at the bookstore or at online websites such as amazon.com (do not forget the shipping costs and delays for online sites), but more than what you would be able to sell it for. For example, the book store may offer you $25 for a book that they sell new for $100 and used for $50 – so you may want to sell it for anywhere between $30 and $45. This way, the transaction would reduce textbook costs for all. Not only that, it is also is a step towards sustainability - a topic we talk so much about and do little to see it through.
