Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida invites applications for a non-tenure track instructor position starting August 2008. The position requires at least a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and a strong interest in teaching and improving undergraduate mechanical engineering laboratory courses. Current emphasis of the laboratory courses is on engineering measurements, instruments, sensors, experimental design, and technical report writing. Excellent command of digital data acquisition techniques is mandatory. The candidate should have a willingness to teach other undergraduate courses and provide departmental services. Preference will be given to candidates with doctoral degrees and/or industry experience.

 

University of South Florida is a top ten university in enrollment and has achieved a Carnegie Research University Status. The Department of Mechanical Engineering has about 250 undergraduates and 50 graduate students. The department offers BS, MS and PhD degrees.
