Two New Faculty Members Join the Department

Two new faculty members, Dr. Kyle Reed and Dr. Ajit Mujumdar have joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering. 

Dr. Kyle Reed comes to USF from Northwestern University where he received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering in 2007. For the last two years, he has worked on a postdoctoral appointment at John Hopkins University.  His research interests include rehabilitation engineering, haptics, human-machine interaction, medical robotics, and engineering education.  He is teaching Mechanical Controls in Fall 2009.  Read more information about Dr. Reed and come to know about his teaching and research interests.

Dr. Ajit Mujumdar comes to USF from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where he received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering.  His research interests include particle technology, numerical simulations by discrete element method (DEM), and computational fluid dynamics.  He is teaching Mechanical Lab I and Lab II in Fall 2009.  Read more information about Dr. Mujumdar and come to know about his teaching and research interests.
