Our educational interests lie in open courseware for courses in fluid mechanics, metacognitive activities, and flipped learning. I have taught undergraduate and graduate-level fluid mechanics and dynamics, as well as advanced engineering mathematics courses 35 times, to over 2200 undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. level students. My educational education interests lie in open courseware for courses in fluid mechanics, metacognitive activities, and flipped learning.
For my teaching and mentoring initiatives, I have been recognized with several awards, including the 2021 USF STEM STEER Scholar, 2020 USF College of Engineering Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award, 2019 USF University-Wide Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award (the only awardee from the College of Engineering), 2018 USF University-Wide Outstanding Graduate Faculty Mentor, Honorable Mention (the only awardee from the College of Engineering) and national 2014 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Ralph Teetor Educational Award.
Since spring 2019, I have been offering some of my class sessions in flipped modality, and hence I am experienced in preparing lecture videos to be shared with the students. As faculty around the world are all scrambling to take courses taught from face-to-face to remote instruction format, I decided to start a YouTube channel and make fluid mechanics and advanced engineering mathematics lecture videos available to everyone in this tense, hard, and unpredictable times. I currently has over 270 lecture videos (55 hours of content), composed of derivations, discussion, and real-life examples of various fundamental fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and engineering mathematics topics. Below you can the introduction video and the first lectures.
